Barnes Home Improvements is a family business in Wooster, Ohio. This site exists so you can find us and tell us about a job. That is the only reason it collects anything.

What we collect

If you send the estimate form, we receive what you typed: your name, phone number, town, and what you told us about the job. If you call or text, your carrier shows us your number the same as any phone call. That is the list.

What we do with it

We use it to call you back about your project, and for nothing else. We do not sell it, rent it, trade it, or hand it to advertisers. Form submissions are delivered and stored by Scroll Theory Media, the local company that built and maintains this site, solely so we do not lose your message.

Cookies and tracking

This site does not run advertising trackers and does not use cookies to follow you around the internet, and nothing here is sold or handed to advertisers.

We do measure how the site itself gets used, so we know which pages actually help people and which ones need work. Two tools do that. Google Analytics counts visits and tells us which pages people land on and how they got here. Microsoft Clarity records anonymous playback of page activity, meaning scrolling, taps and mouse movement, so we can see where a page is confusing. Clarity hides what you type, so anything you enter into the estimate form is masked out of that playback.

Neither one tells us who you are. They do not know your name, and we never connect them to the enquiry you send us. Both set a cookie so a return visit is not counted twice. Neither loads until after the page has finished drawing, and if your browser sends a Do Not Track signal we leave them switched off entirely.

How we protect it

Everything you send through this site travels over an encrypted HTTPS connection. Submissions are held by Scroll Theory Media, the local company that built and maintains this site, on access-controlled servers, and the only people who read your enquiry are Al and Cody. This website never asks for and never stores card numbers, bank details or Social Security numbers.

We keep your details only as long as we need them to quote the job and stand behind the work, and you can have them deleted sooner — see below.

Removing your information

Want what you sent us deleted? Call or text (330) 621-5810 and say so, and it will be.

Text messages

If you tick the box on our estimate form, we may text you about your request at the number you gave us: appointment reminders, scheduling and updates on your job. Those are the only texts we send. We do not send marketing or promotional text messages. No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes, and we do not sell, rent or share your phone number or any part of your information with third parties for their own marketing.

Message frequency varies with the job. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to any message to opt out, or HELP for help. Opting out of texts does not stop us calling you back about work you asked us to quote.
